Tumultuous

Tumultuous

the sea

was not calm

as last it gently lapped

against the sand

an internal storm

had seized and taken hold

the land

the rise of turmoil

in the wind

lashed the sailboats

to the harbor

and scattered lingering gulls

kited in the sky

the clouds had dropped into the sea

with strings attached

that made them dance

in a frenzy

that woke up all the waves

thus the rise and fall

of castles

in a storybook

yesterday
